In June, the level of government approval did not change significantly. The electoral ratings of other political parties have barely changed. The level of trust in Vladimir Putin decreased in June compared to May.

The assessment of the current state of affairs in the country remains stable: in June, the share of those who believe that things in the country are going in the right direction was 68%, those who believe that the country is moving on the wrong path — 22%.

The level of approval of the work of the heads of subjects has also practically not changed: 69% (in May – 70%) approve, a quarter (in May – 26%) disapprove.

The level of approval of the work of the lower house of Parliament decreased slightly. If in May 61% approved of the activities of the State Duma, and 34% disapproved, then in June – 57% and 37%, respectively.

The level of trust in Vladimir Putin decreased by 8% compared to May — to 35%, and the trust in Mikhail Mishustin also decreased slightly – to 14%. Confidence in Sergey Lavrov (up to 18%) and Sergei Shoigu (up to 17%) has increased somewhat.

Compared with May, the electoral ratings of the main parliamentary parties remained at the same level in June. In %% of those who decided on the choice of the party, the rating of United Russia in June was 53%, the support of the Communist Party was 16%. The electoral rating of the Just Russia and the “New People” remained at the level of last month (5%), while the LDPR’s rating increased to 12%.

METHODOLOGY

The survey by the Levada Center was conducted June 23 – 29 2022, among a representative sample of all Russian urban and rural residents. The sample was comprised of 1628 people aged 18 or older in 137 municipalities of 50 regions of the Russian Federation. The survey was conducted as a personal interview in respondents’ homes. The answer distribution is presented as percentages of the total number of participants along with data from previous surveys.

The statistical error of these studies for a sample of 1600 people (with a probability of 0.95) does not exceed:

3.4% for indicators around 50%

2.9% for indicators around 25%/75%

2.0% for indicators around 10%/90%

1.5% for indicators around 5%/95%

The ANO Levada Center is included in the registry of non-commercial organizations acting as foreign agents.
